In the original layout of this bathroom, the L-shaped, two-sink vanity created a narrow entry to the toilet and tub area. The wall mounted toilet, which faced the tub, also limited comfortable movement through the space. New space was “found” by removing the vanity and pushing out the angled wall. This allowed room and support for the tub and shower plumbing and tile.
The toilet was relocated to the left side of the new tub, this time facing the doorway. This new space plan resulted in an open walk way with room for a new vanity, unlimited leg room for the toilet and more natural light.
